Would you like to give back to your local community and help Citizens Advice Bristol to support Bristolians? We are looking for new Trustees who can commit to help with the strategic development of the organisation at a crucial period of change… could you be one of them?
About Citizens Advice Bristol
First and foremost, Citizens Advice Bristol is an independent charity. We are part of a national network of local Citizens Advice charities who collectively help millions of people each year. We make a difference to the lives of people living and working in Bristol by providing free, independent, impartial, and confidential advice. Our vital services give people the knowledge and the confidence they need to find a way forward – whoever they are, and whatever their problem.
What type of people are the Board of Trustees hoping to recruit?
It’s essential that you believe in the importance of the work that we do and have the time available to contribute to the Board. The Board is looking for people who are local to Bristol, who have a wide range of backgrounds and experience. We are also happy to support people to build their skills and knowledge in areas where they may have gaps.
It’s important to us that our Board reflects the rich diversity of the communities that we serve. We’re keen to involve more people from the LGBTQIA+ community, people with disabilities, health conditions or impairments and people who are from Black Asian Minority Ethnic (BAME) communities.
