With the current Chair stepping down at the end of the year, Citizens Advice Bristol are looking for a Trustee with senior leadership and management experience to become the new Chair of the board
Citizens Advice Bristol (CAB) provide free, confidential, independent and impartial advice and give people the knowledge and confidence they need to find their way forward – whoever they are and whatever their problem.
As a member of the national Citizens Advice network of advice agencies, CAB last year provided advice to over 7000 clients and dealt with around 32000 enquiries. They have been a first port of call for many people during the Covid-19 pandemic, adapting the service to enable staff and a team of 70 volunteers to help people remotely whilst mostly working from home.
About the Role
CAB is currently going through a period of change, reviewing and updating its strategic plan, introducing new ways of providing advice, developing existing and new partnerships and seeking to influence policy through its campaign work.
With the current Chair stepping down from the role at the end of this year, CAB are recruiting an experienced Trustee, with leadership and senior management experience, who will act as Chair-Designate to work with the current Chair, Trustee Board and Director to ensure a smooth and efficient transition at this key point in our strategic development.
